Toronto, Ontario – October 20, 2008 – SameCell Inc., an innovator in the emerging field of Mobile Social Networking and Location Based Services today announced the release of a new location-based search application.

The new application, SameCell Search, is a simple and efficient application for BlackBerry® SmartPhones that uses GPS or Cell-Tower positioning to provide single click searching for nearby places, services, weather and events.

The application's user interface is simple by design to empower users with meaningful local information just one-click away. Free-form place and event searches are also available for power users who wish to refine their local searches.

SameCell's applications embrace GPS technologies to offer enhanced features and accuracy, but also work perfectly well on devices without GPS by leveraging SameCell's global database of GSM and CDMA cell towers.

The application is a free over-the-air download and requires no activation.
